Overview

At the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence, our vision for the future is led by our commitment to promoting human-centered uses of AI, and ensuring that humanity benefits from the technology and that the benefits are broadly shared. Over the past 5 years, we have seen a growing community of faculty, researchers, students, and more who have been instrumental in carrying out this commitment.

2024 marked Stanford HAI’s 5-year anniversary, and this conference focused on the major topics of AI and its impact today and in the future. Thought leaders and experts in the field covered topics within the "H", "A", and "I" pillars that Stanford HAI was founded on, pushing forth our mission to advance AI research, education, policy, and practice to improve the human condition. Attendees joined us in celebrating 5 years of impact, discussing the future, and committing to promoting human-centered uses of AI.
